I have a new series of pastel works on display at Deidre's Special Day, a new venue for the First Fridays Artswalk in Pittsfield, MA. The show is opening on Friday, June 6th, during the First Fridays Artswalk from 5-8PM. The show is titled Pastel Stories and includes eight brand new pastels made specifically for the show. I’m really pleased with the layout and am looking forward to the opening reception.
I worked on this body of work as a series right from the beginning. It is the tale of two wonderers, one traveling at night and another during the day, who finally meet at their journey’s end. As with all of my work, the pieces are open to interpretation, but I wanted to rein in the story a little for this presentation. I hope you enjoy the new work and have a chance to come say high during the opening this Friday; if you can’t make the opening the show will still be up for the month of June.
